Running cum Interview Show at MacRitchie Reservoir

Had a running workout with Jeremy and Mel at MacRitchie Reservoir yesterday.
I didn't bring my camera out, but luckily Mel did and she probably regretted letting me taking the pictures of her running.
If this workout is an interview session, it would be like this:

Jeremy: Good afternoon, you are listening to Running cum Interview Show on 9.38 Live with KKKakis Melissa Tan and myself Jeremy Koh.
Melissa: Hello!
J: So Miss Melissa Tan can you tell us why you decided to climb Mount KK.
M: Huh? I don't know lar. (panting)
J: What you mean you don't know?
M: Huh? I think eh... for personal achievement lor... (panting)
J: How do you find the training today?
M: (panting) Sad lar! I am being bullied by 2 idiotic guys, who are running ahead of me! (panting hard) Argh! Jeremy stop singing to me! And Qiyou stop taking pictures of me! (panting very hard)
J: Ahem, thank you Miss Melissa Tan for your exclusive interview. This is Jeremy Koh and you are listening to 9.38 Live.

Who is Audrey?

It was our second training last Friday and Audrey, Kelvin and Prema were absent.

We had a 10 minutes run at the TPY Stadium and Melissa was reluctant to run. She did run in the end, after she found out that the facilities booking office was closed. Hahahaha.

After which, we went to climb 3 x 25 flight of staircase at Blk 193. Grace was again the fastest, as at the third climb, I failed to catch up with her. This is despite after I increased my speed.

I thought it was fun this time, as we took pictures during our climb to show our tired expressions.

After the climb, we had dinner at MOS Burgers, where we also had some chit chats and snapshots against someone's wish =p

There is a big question mark on Audrey, as we wonder how she looks like? Think we should have a trekking trip soon, so that she can come along.

TGC - Transdermal Glucosamine Cream

If your knees hurt , due to wear and tear, then try this glucosamine medication.

This medication helps in regeneration of the knee cartilage and ligament and it is not to be taken orally. It can be bought at Guardian Pharmacy or Watson at a cost of around $30.

I have been using it on and off for 2 years and it helps in the recovery of my troublesome knees.

First Meeting

I dedicated this blog (my first) to the my fellow MountKK Kakis, Aaron, Audrey, Grace , Jeremy, Kelvin, Melissa, Prema and probably Annie.

I have never met all of them, except for Jeremy, but I haven seen him for about four years. Yesterday was our first meeting, less Audrey and Annie, and I have such feelings like blind dates and seeing my long-time-nv meet-friend. I also felt weird going on a trip with strangers. I think some of them have such feelings too.

So our only communications had always been email, sms and sometimes by phone, until yesterday.

We met up for our first training at Toa Payoh to scale the summits of some 40-storey flats. I made my journey to Toa Payoh from SP with my laptop and two sets of school notes in my backpack. It was heavy and I thought I got no choice but to climb with it, but lucky Grace let us put our things and changed our gears at her flat. Terima kasih Grace!

In all we scaled three X 40-storey staircases at two different HDB flats. Grace and Kelvin were the most enthusiastic and fastest, especially Grace, who was happy seeing those stairs. She reminded me of a hamster running the wheel non-stop and she like no kick lo~!

The rest of us were encouraging Prema most of the time. Take it easy on yourself Prema, treat it as a fun experience. With more conditioning, you would be much prepared. Each staircase took us approx. 10mins and I thought it was nothing compared to scaling MountKK for hours and hours and hours....
It reasonably easy for me, but i felt some pain at my left knee and its a recuring one.

Nonetheless I am motivated and looking forward to our next training together!
